Moo Moo’s Emergency Surgery

Monday night he came to my bedroom and climbed into the bed with me crying.

He has NEVER gotten in bed with me before.

His crying was such that it disturbed the other cats. They were all looking when he meowed. Usually, they ignore each other’s routine meowing, but they were not ignoring Moo Moo. I knew something was wrong.

I immediately took him to the vet as soon as they opened. Upon examination, it was determined that he has a life-threatening urinary blockage requiring immediate surgery and a minimum 2-day hospital stay provided all else goes well.

Moo Moo will be thankful for your well wishes.

Description

MOO MOO IS IN EMERGENCY SURGERY

Moo Moo is one of my mom's “Perfect Five” boys born Aug 1, 2021, to Wren who also raised orphan Greta.

Mom's “Perfect Five” were so named because she raised them as kittens according to her training plan and schedule. Surprisingly, it worked quite well and of course, her graduates could do no wrong.

Once they transitioned out of their kitten enclosure, it was common for me to come into the living room and find the Perfect Five all piled up on the couch sleeping with my Mom. Not one or two of them, but all five. Greta was too busy to lounge with them as she was always running everywhere.

Moo Moo is the meekest and sweetest of the Perfect Five and has the most woeful meows he hardly ever uses.

Sunday night I noticed that he was not in his favorite lounging spot and later heard his woeful meow, but could not find where he was hiding.

Monday he was also missing and I began to worry.

Monday night he came to my bedroom and climbed into the bed with me crying.

He has NEVER gotten in bed with me before.

His crying was such that it disturbed the other cats. They were all looking when he meowed. Usually, they ignore each other's routine meowing, but they were not ignoring Moo Moo. I knew something was wrong.

1st thing this morning I offered him multiple wet foods which he shunned and fresh water which he sipped some and then vomited foam. He could hardly stand up and was quivering when he did.
I immediately took him to the vet as soon as they opened. Upon examination, it was determined that he has a life-threatening urinary blockage requiring immediate surgery and a minimum 2-day hospital stay provided all else goes well.

Moo Moo will be thankful for your well wishes.
