Duncan Home For Wayward Cats

The Duncan Home For Wayward Cats is an “accidental cat rescue” in Henderson, TX helping homeless cats, kittens and orphans while promoting public awareness of cat overpopulation issues, causes and cures.

We despise confining cats to kennels unless absolutely necessary such as intake quarantine, illness quarantine, surgery recovery, monitoring litter box output and food intake, monitoring queens and babies, etc. 

We prefer for cats to be free to run and climb and romp and be cats; however, we also want them to do so safely.  We are located on a deadly road where wildlife is killed daily and pets and people have all died on this road within a 100 yards of our location. We provide cats under our care with access to multiple cat doors that connect to secure outside tunnels that they can traverse at will to go into our custom large outdoor Catairiums.

These large outdoor enclosures allow them to enjoy the outdoors without being exposed to the dangers of roaming.

Keeping the cats safely enclosed also protects the squirrels, birds and other creatures that cats would naturally hunt and kill. Everybody wins with cats enclosed safely  in an environment enriched for them.
