MJ (Miss Jason) Memorial Contribution

MJ (Miss Jason)

I am continually humbled and honored by the generosity of cat-lovers who contribute to support the work of The Duncan Home For Wayward Cats.

Today, our kitties are especially honored by a generous contribution made in memory of MJ (Miss Jason).

Sadly, MJ crossed the rainbow bridge Tuesday morning April 1, 2025.

She had been Mike Bennett's beloved companion her entire life.

He told me that MJ loved lap-time and having her head rubbed and that she would eagerly seek out his lap for that attention.

MJ also expected – and was accustomed to receiving – a nice back-rub before eating her breakfast.

For entertainment, she loved watching the racoons and opossums when they came up on the patio to eat.

She always accompanied Mike to ensure his safety as they walked to the end of the driveway every trash day.

MJ was a very special cat and an important part of Mike's life and those who knew her.

She will be missed with the heaviest of hearts and recalled with the fondest of memories.

In her honor, Mike bequeathed MJ's personal “stash” to our Do Double Good campaign to help homeless kittens and cats find loving homes like MJ did.

His generous sister, Patricia Price, also contributed to MJ's memory.

Their combined generosity assures other kittens and cats will have opportunities to enrich other people's lives just as MJ enriched Mike's life.

Run free MJ.

Thank you so much, Mike and Patricia, for preserving MJ's memory and legacy.
